THE ARTIST

Mari Kertész

Brazilian roots.

Mari Kertész is a Brazilian artist and Design Director based in New Jersey, just outside New York City. Born in Salvador, Bahia, she grew up surrounded by art and creativity, influenced by her mother, Eliana Kertész, who was a sculptor. With a background in graphic design, Mari has spent over 20 years working in the creative industry, bringing her love of color, composition, and unexpected details into everything she creates.

Her artistic work is an extension of that creative world, but with a more personal and intuitive approach. Working with hand-made and hand-painted objects, she creates expressive, feminine pieces full of color, texture, and personality. Inspired by her Brazilian roots, nature, and everyday beauty, her work is playful, sometimes imperfect, and always full of character.

Above all, she believes art should bring personality and joy into people’s homes.
